Anne Frank

I chose to illustrate the story of Anne Frank in the way that she viewed the world. In times that the world was wicked and evil, Anne used her imagination and was still able to see the world in a positive light. This in a sense was looking at the world in a unrealistic way. This is the reason why I chose to use real pictures and combine them with sketched, unrealistic illustrations. Another reason for leaving the sketches parts of the illustration unfinished and rough is because Anne Frank died at a young age. Her life was unfinished. I finish off the booklet with a full drawing of Anne, without a picture, to show that after her life, what's left of her, is her imagination.
